Job Responsibilities: We are looking for a Senior SRE/DevOps Engineer who obsesses about keeping our website available and performant to deliver a compelling customer experience. If you possess a "can do" attitude, are driven by research, problem solving, and thrive on challenges, this opportunity will interest you. You’ll work closely with the Development and QA teams to provide continuous improvement of existing features and rollout of new services, ensuring high availability of our platform. You’re comfortable with infrastructure and configuration, but also happy to roll up your sleeves, fix code, write tests, debug, and ship features when needed. ● Instrument effective observability in a distributed e commerce environment to empower SRE and Engineering teams for quick response/resolution of issues. ● Lead incident resolution by quickly narrowing down the problem and driving cross functional teams to effective resolution. ● Drive appropriate cross functional communication for incidents to ensure all stakeholders are informed of the issue and resolution progress. ● Ensure changes being implemented for e-commerce are reviewed, understood and challenged if found intrusive; drive accountability of engineering/QA teams to ensure code changes are well designed and tested. ● Drive continuous automation of SRE processes to drive improvements in response and resolution times. ● Act as a subject matter expert on SRE/DevOps best practices with Cloud Formation, Auto Scaling Groups, Build tools, Monitoring, and Configuration Management. Drive appropriate engagement from offshore SRE teams to ensure round-the-clock coverage for ecommerce ● Perform analysis, best practices, and emerging concepts in DevOps, Infrastructure Automation, and Enterprise Security; ● Acts as a technical liaison between clients, service engineering teams, and support; ● Review and audit of existing solution, design, and system architecture; ● Perform profiling, troubleshooting of existing solutions, and improving the performance of the systems under coverage; Job Qualifications: ● BS/MS (MS preferred) in Computer Science or equivalent work experience ● 3+ years (Senior Role) of experience in an SRE role with demonstrated experience delivering improved availability and performance for mission critical workloads. ● Experience working with distributed architecture and related technologies ● Outstanding critical thinking and problem solving skills ● Excellent communication skills; demonstrated ability to explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences; own a collaborative, partnership mentality. ● Experience with managing production environments on AWS or other major Cloud providers ● Experience with Linux, Java, Build and manage Automation ( Jenkins, Git Hub, Puppet ) ● Monitoring and troubleshooting large-scale databases (my SQL,Oracle) ● Performance testing, analysis, tuning, and improvements (NewRelic, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Splunk ). Central log monitoring ( Sumologic) ● Experience in managing CDN, Cookie Management, and WAF control ( Akamai, Cloudflare) ● Agile Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) support
