- We are seeking a highly experienced Staff Engineer to drive technical excellence and strategic direction across multiple engineering teams. In this role, you will lead cross-team initiatives, mentor engineers, and contribute to the full product lifecycle from concept to deployment. You will shape the architecture, enhance system reliability, and implement tools and processes that increase organizational productivity. This is an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, fully remote environment where your decisions will directly impact platform quality, business outcomes, and team performance. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a collaborative mindset. - Accountabilities
- Lead cross-team projects, facilitating communication and collaboration across engineering teams.
- Mentor engineers, providing guidance on career growth, delivery quality, and technical excellence.
- Define and implement long-term strategic technical direction, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate on architectural solutions, analyzing trade-offs for time-to-market, maintainability, security, and performance.
- Build systems, author tools, and introduce patterns that enhance organizational productivity.
- Oversee system reliability, incident follow-ups, and proactive improvements to prevent recurrence.
- Monitor operational costs and advocate for cost-saving initiatives.
- 9+ years of experience building services in multi-tenant SaaS environments with platform-wide scope.
- Strong expertise in Python/Django and proficiency across backend, frontend, data, and infrastructure systems.
- Extensive experience leading technical teams and managing cross-team initiatives for 4+ years.
- Proven track record of driving large technical migrations or multi-month platform projects.
- Strong product and business mindset, connecting technical decisions to measurable business outcomes.
- Expertise in CI/CD practices, monitoring, observability, and operational excellence.
- Experience in autonomous team structures, domain-driven architecture, and platform-level technical decision-making.
- Exceptional strategic, communication, and collaboration skills in fully remote environments.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity, adapt to changing priorities, and deliver results aligned with business goals.
