The Opportunity

We’re hiring our first talent acquisition hire — someone to build and run Arlo’s hiring engine from the ground up. This is a unique opportunity to:
  • Own the full recruiting lifecycle across sales, operations, and technical roles.
  • Partner directly with our cofounders and leadership team to shape the team that will scale Arlo to the next level.
  • Define and implement recruiting processes, tools, and employer branding initiatives.
  • Make a measurable impact on company growth by bringing in A-players who believe in our mission.
This is a high-leverage, highly visible role for someone who thrives in a fast-moving, zero-to-one environment.

What you will do

  • Full-Cycle Recruiting: Source, engage, interview, and close candidates across a variety of roles (with a focus on engineering and sales hires).
  • Process Builder: Manage our ATS (Gem), create interview scorecards, and ensure a smooth candidate experience.
  • Pipeline Development & Outbound Sourcing: Build and maintain talent pipelines for priority roles, using creative sourcing strategies.
  • Employer Branding: Craft compelling job descriptions, update our careers page, and launch simple employer branding initiatives (social posts, employee spotlights, etc.).
  • Culture & Experience: Represent Arlo’s culture and values to candidates, ensuring every interaction feels human and mission-driven.
  • Events: Organize Arlo-sponsored events and represent Arlo at conferences and community events.

What we are looking for

  • 3–6 years of full-cycle recruiting experience (agency + in-house or startup preferred).
  • Proven ability to fill roles quickly and with quality — especially engineering roles.
  • Experience building recruiting infrastructure (ATS setup, interview loops, scorecards).
  • Comfort with sourcing creatively — LinkedIn search, email sequencing, referrals, events, cold outreach.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to sell a company vision.
  • Scrappy, resourceful, and metrics-oriented — thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Bonus Points:
  • Recruiting experience for startups in health tech, fintech or with an AI focus
  • Exposure to employer branding initiatives or content creation.
  • Strong GTM network.
