  • We are seeking a highly skilled and autonomous Technical Operations Engineer to ensure the stability, scalability, and reliability of complex data platforms and pipelines in a mission-driven environment. In this role, you will take ownership of operational excellence, collaborating closely with engineering, product, and data teams to optimize workflows and deliver robust, high-quality solutions. You will be responsible for automating processes, monitoring system performance, and troubleshooting operational issues, while contributing to documentation and best practices. Accountabilities

  • · Ensure operational reliability of AI-driven data platforms, infrastructure, and pipelines, maintaining system health, stability, and performance.
  • · Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize ETL/ELT workflows to ensure data quality, availability, and compliance with best practices.
  • · Develop Python-based automation scripts and operational tools to streamline deployments, maintenance, and workflows.
  • · Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Customer Success teams to resolve complex operational issues and deliver seamless data services.
  • · Maintain comprehensive operational documentation, including runbooks, incident playbooks, and system guides.
  • · Work in an Agile environment to operationalize analytics, supporting large-scale life sciences and healthcare datasets.
  • · Contribute to process improvements and knowledge sharing across teams.
  • · Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • · 4+ years of experience in Technical Operations, DevOps, or SRE, focused on data platforms.
  • · Proven expertise managing enterprise-grade data services, including pipelines, data lakes, and warehouses.
  • · Strong Python skills for automation and operational tooling.
  • · Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS or GCP), including compute, storage, databases, containerization, and orchestration.
  • · Proficiency in SQL and data warehouse technologies such as BigQuery, Redshift, or Snowflake.
  • · Deep knowledge of ETL/ELT best practices, data governance, and regulatory compliance (e.g., HIPAA).
  • · Ability to diagnose complex distributed systems issues with strong root cause analysis skills.
  • · Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and experience creating technical documentation.
  • · Collaborative and proactive, with strong ownership and the ability to work across time zones (EST).
  • · Experience in regulated industries (healthcare, finance) is highly desirable.
  • · Contractor agreement with payment in USD.
