- The Technical Program Manager supports the Product & Engineering organization as a cross-functional team member with a focus on execution and delivery. This role facilitates the successful delivery of product development initiatives involving multiple teams and external partners. TPMs collaborate with Product and Engineering leads to establish execution strategies, develop cohesive plans, and drive outcomes throughout the product development lifecycle. TPMs help foster alignment, clarity, and transparency while supporting continuous improvement efforts within our team and across the organization.
Essential Responsibilities
- Support Product and Engineering Managers to deliver on initiatives involving multiple teams both internal and external to Platform Science.
- Develop project roadmaps and adaptive plans to continually identify critical path, dependencies, risks, and unknowns; ensure progress is transparent and visible to leadership
- Manage dependencies, get ahead of risks, and surface information that will allow the teams to make good strategic decisions and tradeoffs
- Understand the product strategy and key business objectives; ensure the team has a shared purpose, shared understanding, and a sense of urgency to deliver against these objectives
- Support the teams with agile estimation and forecasting; track progress towards “working software” deliverables using empirical data while helping the team inspect and adapt to deliver high quality, well-tested solutions that meet/exceed the project timelines and objectives
- Work closely with Product Operations coordinating releases with internal teams and partners
- Build bridges and create alignment; facilitate collaboration, teamwork, and communication to ensure we are operating effectively as one-team across Platform Science.
- Actively identify areas of improvement; apply systems thinking and lean principles to streamline efficiency and value delivery
- Promote a trusting and safe environment that allows team members to engage in healthy debate and collaborative problem solving
Education and Experience
- Requires advanced English fluency
- Skilled facilitator, communicator, and listener with a strong understanding of team dynamics and cross-functional collaboration
- Team player who leads without formal authority; brings people together to create alignment rather than being a communication go between
- Passion for product strategy, agile, and traditional project management methodologies; able to assess and adapt processes to the specific needs of a project and teams
- A continuous learner who embraces feedback and is motivated to improve personal and team practices
- 5+ years of program/project management experience in a SaaS/PaaS or tech organization
- Demonstrated ability to manage moderate complexity initiatives and track progress across multiple stakeholders
- Prior experience as a product manager, engineer, or scrum master/agile coach is helpful
- Agile, Scrum, or Project Management certifications are preferred
- Experience with Infrastructure teams supporting engineering led initiatives preferred
- Experience with driving hardware ODM development projects from start to finish preferred
- Experience with commercial truck OEMs and connected vehicle technology preferred
