Technical Support & Client Success Associate (Backup + Cybersecurity) – Swiss Army Knife Role About Us: BlueSky Cloud Backup provides fully managed backup and cybersecurity services for small practices and professional offices. We focus on reliability, clear communication, and keeping clients secure without unnecessary complexity. We’re hiring a versatile, detail-oriented team member who can assist across multiple areas of the business, from light technical support to client communication and follow-ups. This is a part-time role (10–16 hours per week), with a training-heavy first month. Role Overview: This hybrid position includes backup monitoring, client support, and basic business development. You will help with day-to-day tasks, cover for team absences, and assist in client meetings. The first month is focused on training, learning our processes, systems, and tools. By month two, you’ll take on tasks more independently. In addition to the hourly rate, there is also an opportunity to earn commissions for successful sales or closed leads. Key Responsibilities: Backup and Cybersecurity Support * Perform daily backup verifications and escalate issues. * Follow SOPs for checking cloud backups, endpoint backups, and alerts. * Make client follow-up calls as needed. * Track missed backups, VSS issues, offline devices, and notify the team. Client Success * Attend weekly client meetings (Zoom or phone), take notes, and create follow-up tasks. * Communicate with clients clearly and professionally. * Identify opportunities to improve their security setup. * Assist with scheduling and follow-ups. Sales and Lead Follow-Up * Re-engage old or cold leads for backup and cybersecurity services. * Follow up with warm leads and keep notes organized. * No heavy sales; mostly nurturing and check-ins. General Operations * Keep documentation organized and accurate. * Assist with account checks, vendor portals, and simple technical tasks. * Help refine internal checklists and workflows. Required Skills: * Fluent English (written and spoken). * Basic technical knowledge (desktop support, troubleshooting, MFA, backups, etc.). * Strong communication skills and comfort speaking with clients. * Detail-oriented, reliable, and consistent. * Experience with MSPs, RMM tools, ticketing systems, or backup dashboards is a plus. Personality Fit: You should be someone who communicates proactively, follows SOPs carefully, learns quickly, and can switch between technical and client-facing tasks. Must be comfortable working independently.
