East Flatbush in Brooklyn NY is predominantly Carribean, with a growing influx of immigrants from West Africa, Yemen, and Bangladesh. I will be opening a local co-op that provide local and organic produce to the local community. It will also have a cafe where coffee/chai will be served. This will be a third space for the community to not only get food/fruits they need but also get to know each other and have a nice cup of tea/coffee. I am looking for someone to help me create a logo, a brand identity, typography, and colors. Once that is done, I also want to work on creating print signage, store signage. The feeling I want people to have coming into this space is like walking into a colorful market/bazar where you know the local vendor. Name of the Store: Begum's Outpost (organic produce and cafe) Context on the name: Both my mother and grandmother shared the last name Begum. This is an extension of what they have done for people in their life. I hope to carry their spirit in this work. Ethos of the business: Anti-Zionist, Anti-white supremacy, anti-capitalist
